When it comes to fairy tales, there are those type of textbook villains from those tales, and then there are those who deliberately go into those fairy tales and change them up, sometimes taking the main character with them. That's where these people come in: twelve Zodiac warriors from another world, dedicated to "setting the story straight," in a manner of speaking. Led by Bakumaru, the mouse spirit, they go into these "Novel Worlds" and take down whoever took and changed the story, because not only are the stories at stake, but the warriors' world, Mugen, is on thin ice, too!
